Obviously, this is the most economical way, but really a ride-sharing service isn’t too much more if there are 3 or more guests in your party. And that means staying in a hotel (more on that below). One advantage to this approach is that many area hotels will offer their guests a discounted parking package as part of the stay. And parking is a major factor that guests who are driving need to consider. Shorter cruises don’t go as far south and hit Baja ports like Ensenada and/or Cabo San Lucas. Quite a few of the 4 day sailings also visit Catalina Island, California.

She was able to get my family the Disney + deal which is a super great deal and had I not booked with a travel agent we probably would missed out. Note that if you do not opt for a cruise parking package, the standard parking rate is $32 per night. We have sailed many times on this itinerary and also the extended 7-night cruise which unfortunately isn’t offered in early 2022.
Dana Kidd helped us plan our recent trip to Disney World and she was amazing to work with. She was extremely responsive and helped answer lots of questions we had for our first family trip there. She gave a lot of suggestions and ideas that were extremely helpful. She also booked our hotel, park days, airport transfers and dining reservations for us. I just want to say how much help our agent Catherine Padron was, She was so awesome and professional. The trip got canceled once cause of Covid and we had to cancel once and Catherine Padron took care of it both times and rescheduled our trip twice and never had a problem getting it done. Catherine Padron always made sure that we got the best price and always updated us on discounts and saved us money numerous times. She always answered our questions anytime we emailed her and just kept in touch with us all the way until the day we left.
Many people think it is just for kids, but it really isn’t. Disney Cruise Lines designed their ships so that there is something for everyone to do. Another new feature for the Disney Cruise San Diego 2022 is a port stop in Catalina. This tiny Californian island is located just off the coast of Los Angeles and is well worth a visit. One of our favorite itineraries, the 7-night Mexica Riviera cruises are only offered once in 2022.
Our family opted for the self walk-off and carried our own bags. We were worried it would be hard to get an elevator but had no issues at all. We had our final breakfast in Tiana’s Place and then queued up to debark. We also especially enjoyed Family Karaoke, “Anyone Can Cook” cooking demonstrations, and trivia in the English pub. Plus, the usual Broadway style Disney shows are available along with many other fun activities, including a Pirate Night celebration. On the same block as the InterContinental is the family-friendly SpringHill Suites San Diego Downtown/Bayfront.
Laura was always available to talk or email and she was very prompt in answering all of our questions. She was able to give us recommendations tailored to what we wanted to do. What was so nice was you could tell she loved planning Disney vacations and she was a joy to work with.
